Wine & Stay

From vine to wine. Our 10 hectares of Vinho Verde.

01 Camélia

Our wine

Camélia. Evoking the name of this flower from Japan, we want to offer you, through the elegant and fresh aroma of this wine, a journey through the 19th-century gardens of Mosteiro de Landim. The wine was created by the renowned oenologist Anselmo Mendes with selected grapes of the Loureiro variety.

The 2005 Camélia won the Revista de Vinhos awards for Best of the Region and Best Buy. In 2007, Revista de Vinhos rated it sixteen points in its June issue, having already been considered one of the Best Buys.

Camélia Loureiro 2008 | 15

A single wine, yet original and rousing enough to fill the soul. Above all, it is a joyful, uncomplicated wine, as fun as all wines should be. A beautiful choice for the summer months.

— Rui Falcão "Guia de Vinhos 2010" Oficina do Livro, 2009

Camélia Loureiro 2006 | 14

Beneath this romantic, spring-like name hides a deeply aromatic wine of the Loureiro variety, a poem to Vinho Verde, a gentle expression of the charm of the Minho. It would be wonderful for the region if the quality standard of Vinho Verde resembled this Camélia. It would be extraordinary if the Vinho Verde profile were founded on the logic of the perfumed and mineral wine. This Camélia is a truly interesting wine, with enough merit to venture into international markets.
